This document outlines the weekly therapy expenses with Gabrielle Shirdon, LPC, as of January 2025.
Please note that this outlines what one year in therapy could look like; the actual duration of time spent in
therapy depends upon various factors, including but not limited to:
• Client's presenting issue(s)
• Client's compliance with therapeutic suggestions and interventions
• Client's engagement in therapy
• Scheduling issues/availability
Standard intake session rate: $155 (75 minutes)
Follow up 60-minute session: $124 (60 minutes)
EMDR therapy Session: $165 (90 minutes)
A typical therapy experience through my practice may consist of:
Weekly therapy sessions for the first two months, comprising eight sessions at $155 for the first session, and a rate of $124 for sessions 2-8:
• 1 session x $155 = $155
• 7 sessions x $124 = $868
Total for the first two months: $1,023 (months one and two of therapy)
After two months, clients may transition to every other week sessions, totaling two sessions per month for
the next six months:
• 2 sessions x $124 x 6 months = $1,488 for months 3-8 of the therapeutic relationship
For months 9-12, based on treatment for one year, one appointment per month:
• 4 sessions x $124 = $496 (months 9-12 of therapy)
Totals:
• First two months of therapy: $1,023 (acute period)
• Months 3-8 of therapy: $1,488 (resolution period)
• Months 9-12 of therapy: $496 (maintenance period)
• One year of therapy total, based on average total sessions: $3,007
*** Please note that there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy, and each client's experience is unique.
